Cat spitting up white foamy stuff and hasn't been playing for 3 days now?

My cat is 18 months old, and really playful. She keeps the 2 older cats going by her playful ways. For 3 days now,she stays in closet by herself and doesn't want to come out. She's not eating, drinking or anything. I go get her out but she wants to go back. She did have a hacking cough so I started treating her for hairballs. Now she's spitting up frequently and the spit-up looks like white foamy phlegm. As for now, I can't afford a vet's bill. Costs $30 for just the office visit. I fixed her some white rice with chicken broth and tried to force some down her, but she fought me. She's rambunctious and so funny, too. I just don't know what to do. My other 2 cats have had all their shots and when this one came(I believe she was dropped off) I was in a bad way finacially and never wormed her or took her to vet. If someone out there has any clue as to what I should do, please let me know. If worse comes to worst, maybe the vet's office could work with me on the payment. Thank you.Cat spitting up white foamy stuff and hasn't been playing for 3 days now?
The cat has an extremely bad respiratory infection or Pneumonia. If you don't get some antibiotics into it, it will die. It is choking on its own mucus. GET IT TO A VET, if it isn't already too late. The kindest thing for it would be to put it to sleep or you'll watch it choke to death.Cat spitting up white foamy stuff and hasn't been playing for 3 days now?
sounds like worms...

force water into her mouth...if she hasnt drank in 3 days she is dehydrated.

use a turkey baster or a ';clean'; squirt bottle..no chemicals...just clean water...

garlic is the only thing that comes to mind that might have helped earlier on..

that cat will die if you dont get it to a vet ASAP..

a vet is not gonna let your cat die....they will probably work with you...and just bring it dont call....
I agree with the others...get her to a Vet right away...

it's possible she has eaten something poisonous but no one knows for sure, only the Vet can tell.

The Vet won't turn you away because you can't pay...they will work out a payment plan with you that you can afford.

GO NOW!! the life of your cat is at stake here.
the first thing i would want to rule out is a gastrointestinal tract foreign body. Cats especially young ones are well known for eating things that then get lodged in their guts. They will stop eating. thye cannot keep any food down. Often they can't keep any liquid down either. they will vomit stuff as you are describing. If not treated she will die. She needs to go to the vet.

also has she ever been tested for feline leukemia or FIV.
Needs to see a vet.

Also please don't have an animal if you cannot properly afford to take care of it when it is sick. It isn't fair to the cat that you withhold treatment because you can't afford it!

In order to be a responsible pet owner you must be able to provide for it properly including shelter, food, play, and medical costs.

If you cannot do that then please bring her to a shelter where she can be adopted by a loving, caring, family.
check with your vet and work out a payment plan..cause this cat needs to be examined asap..sounds like worms..but I am not a vet..and if you don't it could spread to your other cats .. if it hasn't already..do this NOW. GOOD LUCK
I know money is tight for everyone now.. do you have any plants(many of them are toxic to cats even onion) in the house that she might have chewed on?Cords or strings? My 1st bet would be getting an X-Ray to see whats going on ASAP, this will be able to show you if she has any foregin objects in her tummy and even if theres a serious case of worms they might even show up on the X-Ray. I'm sure that the Vet might work out a payment plan for you. Sadly this isnt something that can be treated at home. If the kitty dosent eat somethig soon she might start going into liver failiure, and could be fatal. I wish you the best of luck in her recovery. Good luck!
my cat done that once i can't remember what was wrong with her but i can tell you the very simple things my vet told me to do. he told me that she's not going to feel like eat and it wasn't a big deal. Just make sure she get water [like every hour or so] i had to force her to drink it with a medicine dropper. and let your cat rest. if it's not back to normal in three days or if it looks like it's getting worse take it to the vet.
vets can help you with payments cuz my mum had to ask once.My cat had something wrong with her and I just rang up a vet, told them the symptoms and they diagnosed what was wrong. If you do that then you'll only have to get some treatment. My bf said it sounds like worms and the white foamy stuff is just vomit. You really need to get it to a vet because it will get really ill and it will suffer.look at its poo and if it looks like pieces of rice in it it's worms and you'll definitely have to take it to the vet. Be careful humans can catch it
Dahling, I am afraid that whatever is ailing your poor kitty cannot be treated with any home remedy now. The fact that she has been hiding for several days, not eating nor drinking and is spitting up foam does not sound good. She needs to go to the vet.
Please take her to the vet asap. my cat was 18 months old when i thought she was ';just in a bad mood'; when she stopped playing around and eating normally, then after 3 days i saw her lay dead on the front of my door, i cry everytime i rememeber because it would have made a difference if i did something about it. try to find the cheapest local vet in ur area, usually animal hospitals r cheaper.
please, take the cat to the vet. ask them about payment options, they will understand and try to help. if a cat quits eating and drinking, there is something wrong. Please, for the sake of your cat, take it to the vet. Good luck!
