Dog throw up white and foamy?

i took my 4 mo old silky terrier to pet smart to get groomed, when i went to pick him up they were done so they had him waiting in the back. when we got home i fed him dinner, he ate, then we went for a walk. on the walk he was gagging a little then he throws up some white foamy stuff. it was not that small either. i'm kinda worried. i did feed him his regular dry food this am, but not as much as usual and he did eat. i'm not sure if his stomach is still upset of not. anyway has anyone heard of this kind of throwing up? i would have thought his food would have been in it at least....i'm not sure if he got into something at the store or what. just a little worried.....Dog throw up white and foamy?
Yes, my dogs do this when they are nervous (i.e. getting groomed). They will eat grass outside and then throw up that foamy stuff. Don't be alarmed:)Dog throw up white and foamy?
I hate to tell u this but MOST OF THE TIME whan a dog throws up fomey stuff it has rabies and has to be put down
dont worry my dog used to do this it means he has an upset stomach if you have tea make some but dont put anything in the tea make your dog drink it
MAD DOG!!!!!!! RUN!!!!!!!!
Your dog stomach was still upset from being at the groomer, my dog does it every time we come back from the groomer and some times when he just gets real excited, but he is naturally nerves, it is normal for the white and foamy throw-up it is kind of like dry heaves and you spit up mucus, all dogs have done this throughout their life time. Your puppy will relax and stop.
its water and normal, dont worry. its nothing to worry about. if you are really worried, call your vet, but your dogs fine.
my dog does that too, it's normal. I sometimes know when my dog gets a bath and gets so excited she eats the soap bubbles or tries to drink the bathwater which gives her an upset stomach. It's nothing too worry about. It's completely normal :)
No such thing as ';minor rabies';, it's ALWAYS deadly... and your dog isn't rabid, either......

Most likely he's got an upset stomach from the stress of being groomed, although some dogs are sensitive to flea shampoo. If the groomer used a flea shampoo, that could make him feel ill. But if it was a large, noisy grooming parlor, most likely he's stressed out. Find a smaller quieter place for him next time. Let him chill out a while, if he's not himself tomorrow, then call the vet.
Could be car sickness?
It sounds to me that the groomer gave your dog something to ';relax'; while grooming, then the pup got all excited when you picked it back up and took it home. I have yorkies, and I would not worry about it. They are very energetic, so just give it a little karo syrup or honey, no more that a teaspoon for that little of a dog and you will be surprised. But those kind of dogs, they throw up all the time, just keep an eye out for weird behavoir and keep karo on hand.
He was probably still getting over the nerves.

Try having someone coming over to your house instead of you bringing your dog over there, for the grooming. I do this, and my dog is so much happier, and more calm (me too!).

Wait about an hour after he throws up, and offer him his food again. A nice snack (dog cookie, carrot, bone...) is always welcome right after throwing up. My dog looks at me with guilty eyes when he throws up, like he did something wrong. After I give him a treat, he feels so happy. Also, the snack will clean the teeth from the acid the vomit left, and, his hungry stomach will get a chance to fill up, slowly, and be ready once again for his food.
well take him to the vet asap!! it scould be a case of minor rabies dont wait another second!!!
