Foamy water in beta ?

i got a beta fish about.. 3 days ago . Its a male , and i got about a 2 gallon tank for it.

when i came home from school today , it had foam in one of the corners , the foam covers abut.. 1 and a half inches across the tank . what does this mean ?Foamy water in beta ?
It is a bubble nest, males make them out of pure instinct. You do not need to breed your betta for him to have a long and happy life, in fact I would advise against this. Breeding bettas is tricky and should be left to professional breeders with many and larger tanks. Plus, what would you do with the babies when they grow up?Foamy water in beta ?
Congratulations! Your betta has built what's called a bubblenest! It means he likes his new home, and is ready to mate in it.

If you want to breed him, find a suitable female for him and put her in the tank with him for a little while. Introduce them to each other slowly; eventually they'll start to get friendly. You need to keep an eye on them, though, to make sure the male doesn't start attacking her. If all he's doing is chasing her and nipping a little at her fins, though, it's okay: he's just flirting!

After a while, the female will roll on her back and the male will bend over her so her ovipositor is touching his vent. This means they're spawning. When they're finished, the female will seem a little dazed, but she's fine. In a bit, she'll roll right-side-up and start helping the male put the eggs into the bubblenest.

When all the eggs are in the nest, take the female out of the male's tank, or he might think she's a threat to the babies and try to kill her.

After about three days, the eggs will hatch and you'll have anywhere from 100-500 fry, or baby fish!
We had beta for 6 months. He had bubbles in his tank too it was from the filter its nothing to worry about. Dont put a girl in there like that guy said because bettas can only live alone because male are the mean ones and will kill anything else in the tank.
Congratulation !!

It means that your betta is ready to mate or breed. Now all you need is to get a female betta.
