Why is my oil foamy?

76 sportster air bubbles in my oil tank what is going onWhy is my oil foamy?
That is strange, so the other people understand. this is a 76 sportster--a air cooled motorcycle. so no more of this head gasket leaking stuff. Because this is a dry sump system with a easy to reach oil tank---first I would change the oil. It is normal to have a certain amount of air in the oil as it returns to the oil tank and scavenged--but never have i heard of this happening without someone tampering----good luck

Opps just thought of something that could cause it besides tampering. check to make sure the crankcase breather system is not plugged, this could allow crankcase gases to go into the tank to try to vent---but, even then it should not be foamy. Why is my oil foamy?
Could there be a pin hole leak in the suction hose? With the engine off, the hole may close up so there's no leak, but with the engine running it sucks air that mixes with the oil. This assumes there is a suction hose. I'm not familiar with the Sportster oiling system. My Shadow's a wet sump system.
Agitation.

I wish I knew more about this air cooled engine to offer more advice.

Is there an oil separator on it?

If so maybe the one of the baffles as slipped (or been removed).

Don't you wish people would do some research before answering.
there's a very high possibility of water in your oil.
your gasket is blown if you dont wanna pay for repair go to auto zone and get a head gasket repair pour it on your radiator and it may do the trick
You could have some antifreeze or water in it. You may have some internal problems.
you may have water in your oil thats sometimes a sign is the oil creamy
may have water in it. could have blown a gasket
