My dog does this after Eating grass. It is just a gagging reflex they make themselves do to get rid of whatever they don't like inside their body. Think of it as a doggie pain reliever.White foamy vomit?
The foamy vomit is mucus, but there isn't enough info to tell. talk to a vet over the phone. feel your dogs nose and see if it is warm if it is he has a fever and is sick.
Dehydration maybe. Has he ate alot of grass lately? Or have you changed the brand or kind of food you usually give him? That maybe it to. Most likely an upset stomach or just dehydrated.
It's just spit. If the dog sounds like it's 'coughing' and then hacking up the white foam then it might be kennel cough. But other wise it's just an irritation in it's throat most likely.
Sounds like your dog is suffering from the change in dog food. NO commercial dog foods on the market are very good..the white foam in a sign his stomach is upset. I would suggest you change his diet to a complete homemade dog diet.
